Nicole Contreras

Nicole Contreras, 28, departed to her next life in Heaven on January 31, 2019, in San Antonio, Texas. Heaven gained an angel, we call her mom, wife, sister, auntie, friend, beautiful sunflower, Nicole.

Nicole was born on September 9, 1990 in El Paso, Texas, where she was raised. She graduated from Hanks High School in 2009 and moved to San Antonio in 2014 where she met the love of her life, Adan Acuña. Through their love they received the ultimate blessing of becoming loving parents to Maddox Acuña.

During her time on Earth, Nicole’s infectious smile, stunning eyes, and beautiful personality touched many lives; she was truly and angel walking amongst us. Nicole was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend; she is loved and missed by all who knew her.

Nicole is preceded in death by her grandfather, Daniel Contreras; grandmother, Elvia Contreras and grandparents, Inocente and Adela Fuentes. She is survived by her husband, Adan Acuña; son, Maddox Acuña; father, Sergio Contreras; mother, Irma Huerta; step-father, Guillermo Huerta; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Geronimo and Olivia Acuña; sisters, Salina Bustillos, Angelica Contreras; nephew, Isaiah Martinez; nieces, Mia Bustillos, Galilea Martinez, Daniela Acuna, and many loving cousins.

Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road on Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 5-8pm, with a rosary being recited at 7pm. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 9:15am for a 10:00am Mass at St. Anthony Mary Claret, 6150 Roft Road. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 11624 Culebra Road.

A reception will follow immediately after the interment at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 9883 Marbach Road, San Antonio, Texas 78245. Please join the family and continue sharing memories of Nicole.
