Nicolasa M. Moreno, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, entered rest on November 6, 2012 at the age of 86. Nicolasa was born in Luling, Texas to Frank and Casimira Murillo on November 23, 1925. She was gifted as a seamstress and will be remembered by her family for her loving and caring nature. She was also a dedicated Guadalupana. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lazaro Moreno, Jr; daughter, MaryAnn Moreno; son, Mario Moreno. She is survived by daughters: Sylvia Esquivel and husband Jesse, Elda G. Tovar and husband Nati, Virginia M. Torres and husband Anastacio; grandchildren: Shirley J. Esquivel, Rikki Esquivel, Adrian Tovar, Natlee Jackson, Christopher Torres, Melanie Dean and Artie Torres; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, David Murillo; sisters-in-law, Josefina Jasso and Amelia Zuniga; special niece and nephew, Steven Rodriguez and Alice Correa; other numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. The family will receive friends at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers for a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Friday, November 9, 2012 to celebrate a 10:00 a.m. Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery II. Memorials may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Nicolasa’s memory.
