Harry M. Durbin (Mike), a highly decorated army veteran and devoted family man passed away on May 5, 2022, in San Antonio, at the age of 84. Born in Cleveland, Ohio he soon moved to Ft. Myers, Florida where he spent his childhood. He enlisted in the Army in 1958, and served for 26 years. He retired from the army in San Antonio. After retirement he worked in Blanco as a parttime police officer and later as a Bailiff in Johnson City.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Katie; his children-daughter Ginger and her husband Mike, son Bill and his wife Peggy; and his grandson Travis. Mike loved the time he spent in the outdoors: boating, camping, clearing land, and using his tractor.
Mike was a friendly person with a lighthearted sense of humor. He was skilled with all things mechanical and would lend an anonymous helping hand to strangers and friends in need without hesitation. He will be dearly missed by all that know him.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association https://www.alz.org/ in Mike’s memory.
