Mável Azul Flores

Mavel Azul Flores, 2 years old, took her last breath in her Mother’s arms on October 8th, 2024 at Dell Children’s Hospital in Austin Texas. After struggling with inoperable congenital heart disease, she passed comfortably surrounded by all who loved her. Mavel's radiant light was so vivid that even after it has gone her glow remains. During her short life she enjoyed music, books and looking at herself in the mirror. She especially enjoyed sitting in her stroller and watching all who passed her. She was always all smiles and happiness. She was loved by all who met her and she will be significantly missed.

Mavel was born in San Antonio Texas to Peter and Cindy Flores on June 17th, 2022. She was involved in the Down Syndrome Association of South Texas, Sunshine Cottage School for Deaf Children, and Aid the Silent.

Mavel is survived by her parents Peter and Cindy Flores. Her brothers Octavio and Manolo Flores. Her maternal grandparents Juan and Hortencia Gonzalez. Her fraternal grandparents Peter and Rebecca Flores.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to all the Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Nurse Practitioners, Techs, Physical/Occupational/ Speech Therapists, and Doctors from Dell Children’s Hospital, Brighton Center, and Methodist Children's Hospital. They also want to thank their beloved family and friends, who supported them through the difficult times.
