Matt was a big hearted and loving grandson, son, brother, nephew, boyfriend and friend. He had a special bond with nature and truly cared for all creatures large and small. He was an empathetic soul and felt compelled to find deep understanding in this world with a loving curiosity and an adventurous spirit. He took great joy in helping family and friends with projects around the house, at work, playing football in his younger years. His gentle kindness will be missed by so many in this world and has already begun to shine in the next. We see you, mijo!
Matthew is preceded in death by his sister, Makayla Medina, uncle, Abel Medina Jr., Great grandparents, Paul Mireles Sr. and Mary Mireles.
He is survived by his parents, Crystal Lynn Medina (Andrew Gonzales), Matthew Medina, sister, Madalynn Medina, grandparents, Abel and Carmen Medina, Paul Mireles Jr., Joe and Rosa Pineda, godparents, Randy Aguilar and Irene Aguilar Tiede, his beloved girlfriend Adriana Torres, aunts, Irene Tiede (Scott), Vanessa Williamson (Andrew), Monnique Pineda, uncles, Cris Medina (Jackie), Clemente Medina, Philip DeLaO, Joe Pineda Jr. (Krystal), numerous loving cousins and friends.

A visitation for Matthew will be held Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211 with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. Mass will be celebrated Friday, December 8, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 13466 Interstate 35 Access Rd, Von Ormy, TX 78073 with interment to follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, 17087 Bexar Rd. Somerset TX 78069
