Matilde Morales Diaz, age 83, passed away November 28, 2011. She was born in Helotes, TX on April 15, 1928 to Lorenzo and Matilde Morales. She was preceded in death by her husband Benito and son William. She is survived by her children, Angelina D. Solis and husband Paul, Alfred M. Diaz, Evelyn A. Mata and husband Joe, Rev. Gilbert M. Diaz, Patricia Diaz and husband Michael Canales; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson; brother, Lawrence Morales; sisters Bella Ewald and Alice Gennero; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Helotes on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 beginning at 6:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with interment to follow at Morales Cemetery.
