Marisol Moreno Alvarado

Marisol Moreno Alvarado, age 42 passed away at home in San Antonio, Texas on Sunday June 11, 2023. She was born February 10, 1981 to Mario and Maria Moreno in El Paso, Texas. She was a 1999 graduate of Austin High School. She married Stephen Alvarado on February 12, 2011.

She has three beautiful children from her marriage. Marisol worked as a speech therapist for 17 years.

After a long battle with cancer, our beloved Marisol Moreno Alvarado has peacefully passed away. Marisol is now resting peacefully after she valiantly fought her most difficult battle. Marisol is a true embodiment of grace, dignity and courage, her faith never wavered. Our hearts are at peace as we accept God’s will.

Marisol has left a void in our family and our community that can never be filled. We are thankful for the wonderful, albeit short life she lived. We will cherish every memory which we will always carry in our hearts.

She is survived by her husband Stephen E. Alvarado, children Solette, Siovann, Slehsia, parents Mario and Maria Moreno, siblings Matilde, Mario, Brenda, Araceli and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

We are thankful for all your support, prayers, visits and words of encouragement during this difficult time for our family.

Family, friends and others whose lives were touched by Marisol, are invited to attend the funeral services at the Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd. San Antonio, TX., 78238. Services will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (7 p.m. Rosary) on Monday June 26, 2023 to reminisce, grieve, and support each other.
