Marion Patricia Byrd

Marion Patricia Byrd was called home to be with our Lord on January 28, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. Patricia was born on December 24, 1950 in Munich, Germany. She was a devoted wife, mother, animal lover, and San Antonio Spurs fan. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Felix and Marion St. Claire. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Daniel Byrd; her sons Nathan Byrd (wife Frances), Jason Byrd (fiancée Melissa), and Keven Byrd (wife Nichole); her brother Felix St. Claire; her grandchildren Kaylee, Tiffany, Brooklyn, George, Braylen, Brylee, Braxton, and Avery.

She coached her sons’ soccer teams and spent several years teaching Pre-Kinder. Patricia also enjoyed Square Dancing and was part of a bridge club for many years. She had a way of making everyone who crossed her path feel comfortable by putting their needs before her own.

Those who knew her will miss her wit, her laugh, and her kind heart.

A visitation will be held Wednesday February 1, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM. The graveside service will be held from 3:00 PM-4:00 PM at Glen Rest Cemetery, 2000 Memorial Blvd, Kerrville, TX.
