Maria S. Reyes

Maria S. Reyes entered eternal rest on November 9, 2016 in Houston,Texas. She was born in Mexico on October 8, 1920 to Hilario and Maria De Jesus Silva and now reunites with her parents, husband Miguel Reyes, grandson Mark Bryant, and siblings Antonio, Miguel, Soledad and Catarino . She is survived by her children Esther (Don) Bryant, Miguel (Yvonne) Reyes; grandchildren: Deborah (Michael), Don Jr., Michael, Cassandra ; great-grandchildren Madeline, Andrew; sister Irene; and other relatives. Maria managed her family bakery, Reyes bakery, until her husband’s passing in 1974. She still kept her special touch on baking for special events, holidays, and family gatherings where she showered her guests with baked goods. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Maria was a generous and loving woman who will be missed dearly by all who knew her. The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 5:00p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00p.m. A Celebration of her life will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 10:00a.m. with interment to follow in San Fernando III Cemetery.
