Maria Estella Martinez

Maria Estella Martinez passed away on February 23, 2021 at the age of 88 in San Antonio, Texas. Born March 14, 1932 in Goliad, Texas, she is preceded in death by Her parents, Hipolito Garcia and Virginia Solis Garcia; Her Husband, Higinio B. Martinez; Her Son, Edwardo “Walle” G. Longoria JR.; Her Grandsons, Rene Estrada, Baby Anthony Castillo and Manuel Muñoz; Grand-daughter, Baby Monique Marie Martinez; and Her Siblings, Enrique Garcia, Alicia Martinez, Raul Jimenez, Katherine Jimenez, Paula Herrera, Daniel Jimenez and Jovita Galvan. 

Maria is Survived by her children, Beatrice Castillo (Juan), Ruben G. Martinez (Janie), Maria Estrada, Noemi Uriegas (Freddie), Robert G. Martinez (Serafina), Nora Martinez and Ray G. Martinez (Deborah); Daughter in law Maria ”Nena” Del Rosario G. Longoria; Her 34 grandchildren; Her 54 Great-Grandchildren; Her 12 Great-Great-grandchildren; Her Siblings, Gloria Gassen (Ken) and Leo Jimenez; and Her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who loved her.

Due to restrictions on public gatherings, the services at Funeraria del Angel Trevino - 226 Cupples Road 78237 - will be limited to 50 people in the building at a time. Face Coverings are required to be worn.

The family will be receiving friends for a Visitation on Friday, March 12th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. On Saturday, March 13th, a Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 AM in the chapel. Burial will follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery – 20567 TX-16, Von Ormy, Texas 78073.
