Maria Leal born in June of 1923 in Petronila, TX went to be with our Lord on August 11, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hijinio and Cecilia Rodriguez; beloved husband, Manuel Leal. She is survived by her children, Manuel Leal Jr. (Naomi), Leo Leal, Ilma Menchaca, Rosalinda Gonzales (Juan), Sylvia Leal, Richard Leal (Graciela); 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Maria was very involved with the church and church choir. She was a member of the Guadalupanas. She will be truly missed by family and friends. A visitation will begin on Tuesday August 16, 2016 at Trevino funeral home on 226 Cupples Rd. at 5:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Wednesday August 17, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Resurrection at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
