Maria del Carmen Flores Garcia

Maria del Carmen Flores Garcia, known as Carmen Garcia, was born on the 16th of July, 1938 in San Buenaventura, Coahuila, Mexico. She is preceded in death by her mother Teresa Salas and her father Juan Manuel Flores Mendez.

Carmen moved to San Antonio, Texas at the age of 18 where she met then married Onofre Adame Garcia, Sr. at the age of 21. Mrs. Garcia went to be with our Lord on Thursday the 4th of August 2016.

Mrs. Garcia is survived by her husband of 56 years, Onofre Adame Garcia, Sr.; her children: Onofre Adame Garcia, Jr. (wife Aleida Garcia), Melissa Garcia Treviño (husband Gene Anthony Treviño), and Edgar Javier Garcia (wife Alicia Garcia); her grandchildren: Christina Celeste Fisher (husband Kyle Fisher), Harley James Hart (wife Auburn Sky Hart), Edgar Isaac Garcia, Genessa Celeste Treviño, Andrew Javier Garcia, Anabelle Garcia, Juan Carlos Chapa (wife Mariana Galvan); great- grandchildren: Electra Jane Hart-Breisch, William James Fisher, Carló Mariano Galvan, Zoey Galvan, and Elijah Thunder Hart.

Mrs. Garcia had a beautiful contagious smile and such an energizing spirit that would light up any room.

Visitation will take place from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
