Margarita A. Guerra

Margarita A. Guerra, age 105, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Margarita was born on January 30, 1917, to Carolina and Alejandro Alameda. She enjoyed genealogy, gambling, and especially baking her famous cookies.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Martin G. Guerra; and her 2 siblings, Ofelia Alameda and Abelardo Alameda. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Bombella; nephews, Al Alameda, James Vale and Ruben Guerra (Rose); niece, Guille Medrano; cousins, the Muniz family; her California family, Norma Salinas, Velma Garcia, Ana Duran, Dina Ybarra, Chuck Ybarra, Mandy Lopez, and Rudy Guerra; and her Valley family, Belinda Ramirez, Max Guerra, and Juan Guerra.

A visitation for Margarita will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205 with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. The funeral procession will depart Roy Akers at 9:30 AM for a funeral mass on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at 10:00 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church, 210 St. Ann Street. A committal service will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
