Mrs Margaret Kathryn Dawson

She was born to the late Samuel Lockwood Burkett and Anna Florenz Barre Burkett in Newport, Arkansas on March 1, 1926. She married Dr. David Fort Dawson of Batesville, Arkansas on June 2, 1951. They shared more than 50 beautiful years of marriage devoted to the raising of their six children. She dedicated her life to her faith and family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, David, her sister, Mary Ann Davis, and son, John Mark Dawson. She is survived by her brother, Col. Samuel Lockwood Burkett, Jr., her children, David Michael Dawson and wife, Mona, Anna Laurie Cooper, and husband, Del, Mary Diane Stewart, and husband, Gene, Christopher Barre Dawson and wife, Lori, Addison Lockwood Dawson, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home located at 910 N Loop 1604 E, San Antonio, TX, (210) 495-7770.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church located at 16075 N Evans Rd, Selma, TX 78154, (210) 651-6811. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
