Lupe Vargas Estrada passed away on January 20, 2017 at the age of 91 in San Antonio, Texas. Lupe was born in Florence, Texas to Migel and Maria Vargas. She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Eliseo H. Estrada, and her siblings Juan Vargas and Luz Medrano. Lupe is survived by her relatives Richard Estrada, Ray Estrada (Diana), her grandchildren; Alex, Michelle, Isaac, two great-grandsons; Isaias and Lazaro. Lupe had a great love for children and was very family oriented. She enjoyed going to the Poteet Strawberry Festival, and was a longtime fan of the San Antonio Spurs, the Dallas Cowboys and Harlandale High School athletics. Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday January 30, 2017, followed by a Rosary starting at 7:00p.m.at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a Mass on Tuesday January 31, 2017 at St. James Catholic Church at 9:45 a.m. Interment will follow at Fort Sam National Cemetery.
