Lori Ann Cruz

Lori Ann Cruz passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the age of 43 in San Antonio, Texas. Lori Ann Cruz was born on Thanksgiving on November 24, 1977. She is preceded in death by her father, Jerry N. Benavides; paternal grandfather, Louis R. Benavides; maternal grandmother, Maria P. Arenas; great-aunt Juanita; and aunt, Lydia Cortinas and husband Gilbert.

Lori Ann Benavides Cruz is survived by her mother, Maria A. B. Rodriguez and husband George Rodriguez; Lori’s son, Kaleb Ezra Cruz; her uncle, Robert Arenas; her brother, Gary L. Benavides, sister-in-law, Julie Benavides and their son, Nathan Benavides; her paternal great-grandmother, Rita Benavides; Lori’s significant other, Joseph Corona; her godmother, Doris Hussey; her aunts, Jesusa Garcia, Celia Luna, and Olivia and Wes Hartzog; her uncles, Victor Luna, Joe Luna, David Luna, Ruben Luna, Eric Benavides, Robert Benavides and Richard Benavides. She is also survived by her former husband, Gilbert Cruz; her former sister-in-law; Yvette Cruz and family and the extended Benavides family, Navarijo, Luna, Hussey families and friends from her work, Lane Bryant and NISD who loved her.

Due to restrictions on public gatherings, the Visitation at Trevino Funeral Home – 226 Cupples Road 78237 – will be limited to 100 guests in the building at a time. Face coverings are required to be worn.

The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, June 23 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Eulogy by Jeffery Luna at 6:00 PM and a Rosary Service to begin at 7:30 PM. A Funeral Procession will depart on Thursday, June 24 at 9:30 AM to arrive at St. John Berchmans Catholic Church – 1147 Cupples Road 78226 – for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at San Fernando Cemetery III – 1735 Cupples Road 78226.
