Lillie M Carroll

January 14, 1937 – August 30, 2022

Lillie Mae Carroll was born into this earthly life on January 14, 1937, to Wright Catley and Lucile Hart Catley, in Winchester, Texas along with her sisters, Vernell and Delores, and her brothers, Cornell and Vastean, all of whom await her arrival in Heaven. She is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy Carroll, whom she married March 12, 1978, in San Antonio, Texas, at Fort Sam Houston Army Base.

Lillie is preceded in death by her first husband, Jerome D. Charleston, whom she married at the age of 18 at Fort Sam Houston Army Base in San Antonio, Texas. She was a loving Army wife who traveled the world with Jerome. They had three children including her firstborn, Kathy A. Charleston, born November 26, 1956 (deceased February 16, 2002); their second born, Lisa C. Charleston, born June 7, 1960, of San Antonio, Texas; and their third born, Jerome D. Charleston Jr., born February 16, 1968, of Edmond, Oklahoma. The family has since grown to include her Daughter-in-Law, Christy Deas and three grandchildren, Miles, Mason and Ethan Charleston. Lillie also has 5 nephews, Edward, Charles, Cornell Jr., Michael and Paul as well as 10 nieces, Linda, Debra, Vanessa, Sandra, Amy, Viola, Beverly, Tina, Yvonne and Gail. Additionally, she has numerous cousins, grand nephews and nieces.

Lillie loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and served faithfully as a member of Woodlake Baptist Church. Her family will always remember Lillie as a loving and protective mother and provider, with interests in bowling, cooking, traveling and fishing. She will be dearly missed, forever remembered, and joyfully reunited with other family members in Heaven. Lillie went home to be with the Lord on August 30, 2022.
