Laurie was a free spirited, loving, kind, and nurturing woman, who enjoyed laid back trips with her husband to Corpus Christi for some fishing, swimming and time on the beach. Laurie also had a great love of music, some of her favorite bands included the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath to name a few. She also enjoyed her quiet time at home with her amazing pups Rosie, Sissy and Freddy, watching her favorite TV Land shows like The Andy Griffith Show; But her greatest love was her family and savoring every moment with them during her boys visits.
She now leaves behind to cherish those happy memories, her husband of 32 years Heron Smith, her sons: Donald Smith, Branch Smith and Heron Smith; her brother John Devine, along with numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Monday, March 9 2020, at 10:30 am with an 11:30 AM Celebration of Life. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
