I learned of Larry’s passing today and i just wanted to say that I worked for Larry when I first moved to San Antonio in 2005. Immediately Larry and I got along great. Charlotte and family, Linda and I were so sorry to learn of Larry's passing.  You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I will always remember Uncle Larry fondly from my youth. He is with God now, free of pain and illness, and we look forward to joining him there.

"Mama Charlotte is an angel" these are the words Larry always spoke to me. I worked with Larry @ Mummies feed store several years ago. When I first met him I had no clue what to think of him, but he showed me love like a father. I was running from the Lord and Larry knew it. The gentleness and kindness that he showed me was one of the things that got me back on track with the lord and he encouraged me when I accepted a position in ministry. He was one funny old guy and I will cherish the time I had with him. But one thing I know for sure is the love he had for you Mama Charlotte there was never a day that passed in the two years that I knew him that he didn't speak of his love for you... To my good friend and mentor Larry Swain I pray that you are met with open arms from our loving savior and angelic choirs, thank you for loving an unloveable person like me and helping me find my way. So sorry to hear about the loss of your husband. It was a pleasure working with you at James Avery at Rolling Oak Mall during the Christmas season when I first met you. My earliest memories of Larry are when he first began attending Trinity Church. It wasn't too long before he was involved as an usher. Larry wasn't neutral about much of anything that we ever talked about! A man whose intensity led him into service and caring for others.
We know that Larry is strong and pain-free now, but we are praying for you who are left here.

We can hardly remember the first time we met Larry and Charlotte, probably in the late 70's.  You were both always together and in love with each other and with your Lord.  We know larry's last few years have been trying; however, we are also assured that his years ahead will be in the sweet presence of his Redeemer. I worked with Larry at Mumme's and He always made work fun not a chore.  I will always think of Larry a friend first when it came to work and then a boss.  He was always looking out for the interest of his employees and stood up for us when it came to the home office..  A really good man and a real Christian.  I will miss him.His friend John Duran...
