Kim Laurel Smith-Cooper

Kim lived her life well, she could brighten any day with her contagious smile and entertaining sense of humor. Throughout her life she maintained unwavering faith in God, and was always willing to help others and be there for them despite the struggle of her own health issues. She loved life and lived it with zest, spending time with her beloved friends and ladies group from church. She enjoyed girls’ days out and above all she loved spending time with the love of her life, her husband Craig Cooper and their son Rashaad. Kim was always willing to lend a hand and give advice even if it wasn’t asked for but always appreciated. Kim began each day with thanks and prayer and many times throughout the day you would see her continuing that practice.

Kim was a woman of strength, character, loyalty and above all faith. Believing in the power and strength of God’s love and the beauty and peace Gods love gives. God has gained a true angel with Kim. As the heavens open to lovingly accept our Kim, we on earth feel the loss deeply. We are losing a dear friend, devoted wife, supportive mother and dedicated member of the church and above all our example of how to truly live and love life.

Left to cherish Kim's memory is her spouse, Craig Cooper; son, Rashaad Cooper; brothers, Phillip (Magnolia) Smith and Willis (Billy) Smith; sisters, Judy Adderley, Novella Smith and Clara Lowe; mother-in-law, Catherine Cooper; aunts and uncles, Alfreda Fernander, Eulease Munroe, Nathalie Miller, Joyce & Goliath Burrows, Cynthia & Kenneth Fowler, Eva Woodside and Marie Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends including Northwest Baptist Church family and JP Morgan Chase.
