Julia Cox

Julia M. Cox went to live with her Heavenly Father December 31, 2014. She was preceded by her mother Tommie L. Lunsford and her father Denman H. Lunsford. She is survived by her husband of many years, Dr. Ronald Cox, her sister Diana Fuller and her brother-in-law Harry Fuller, daughters Dr. Kimberly Elliott and Sarah Cerda, granddaughters Emma Elliott and Madison Cerda and her sons-in-law Dr. Steven Elliott and Rick Cerda.

She will be interred adjacent to her parents in the Center Grove Cemetery near Mt. Pleasant, Texas.

A memorial service will be held at the Northwest Hills Baptist Church, 6585 Heath Rd. in San Antonio 7:00 pm Saturday January 10, 2015. A fellowship will follow the service.

Julia earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Lamar State College. She taught kindergarten at the Northwest Hills Christian School prior to retiring, June 2013. Previously she taught in Nederland, Texas, Smithtown, New York and Plano, Texas. She also worked as the executive in charge of home operations for Business Publications Inc. in Plano, Texas and later worked as a manager for MCI/WorldCom in San Antonio.

Julia was a member of the Western Hills Christian Church in San Antonio.
