Julia G. Arreola, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on January 14, 1930, in Monterrey, Mexico, to Refugio Garcia and Salome Ayala Lozano, Julia lived a life rooted in faith, family, and love.
A devoted member of Our Lady of Sorrows, Julia’s strength and gentle spirit were a source of comfort to all who knew her. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—gardening, knitting warm pieces with care, and baking delicious treats that brought her family together. Her home was always filled with the aroma of something baking and the warmth of love.
Julia now reunites in eternal peace with those who went before her: her parents, Refugio and Salome; her brother Pablo; her sister Andrea,Claudia; her beloved father; Benigno; her cherished husband Ruben Sr.; and her dear grandmother Alberta.
She leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory in their hearts: daughters; Sylvia, Susana, and Severa; sons, Ruben Jr., Robert, and Ricardo; her brother Carlos; her sisters Francisca and Flor; 11 adoring grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Her legacy of kindness, resilience, and unwavering love lives on through them.
Julia’s life was a testament to grace, strength, and devotion. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A Visitation for Julia will be held Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237 with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. A Chapel Service will occur Monday, May 5, 2025 at 10:00 AM, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. The family of Julia Arreola request everyone to meet at the cemetery once the chapel service concludes at San Fernando Cemetery III, 1735 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78226 for Entombment.
