Juan Carlos Montoya

Juan Carlos Montoya passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was born to his parents Jose M. Montoya and Bertha R. Montoya on November 24, 1981 in Clovis, New Mexico.

He could light up a room with his contagious smile and energy. Some of his favorite things to do were traveling, baking, being a barista, bartending, and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was a graduate from Vogue College of Cosmetology and often showed his passion for cosmetology by changing his hair color and hairstyles.

Juan Carlos is preceded in death by his grandparents, Rudolfo Ramirez, Irla Dora Ramirez, Joe C. Montoya, and Mary Louise Montoya.

He is survived and will be greatly missed by his parents, Jose and Bertha Montoya, siblings, Alicia Marie Cortez (Benito), Bertha Ann Ruiz (Richard), Joe Anthony Montoya (Elizabeth), nieces, Lauren Alicia Elizardo (Alex), Victoria Isabella Montoya, Gabriella Elena Montoya, nephews, Ricardo Benito Cortez (Morgan), Lee Alejandro Cortez, Austin Roy Ruiz, Joe Anthony Montoya, Jr., Marc Anthony Montoya, and numerous family and friends.

Visitation for Juan Carlos will be Friday, November 10, 2023 at 5:00PM until 9:00 PM with a Rosary recited at 7:00PM. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
