Juan Cano Garza beloved husband, father, and grandpa went home with open arms to serve the Lord. Born September 8, 1928, died at the age of 84. He is preceded in death by his mother Gavina Cano, grandfather, Juan Cano, and uncle, Patricio Cano. He was loved and adored by everyone who knew him. He loved to serve people, family, and friends in need. We are profoundly grateful for the years in which he enriched our lives with a daily blessing and devotion to our grandchildren, family, and friends. He served in the Army and worked at Kelly AFB for 39 years. When he retired as a supervisor, he became a Bexar County Constable, then joined the Bexar County Deputy Sheriffs for over 30 years of service and left as a lieutenant. Mr. Garza opened his own business, “Botanico Eloise” for over 20 years of service to the public. He was a 32 Degree Master Mason for over 31 years and a Shriner for over 31 years. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Eloisa Garza; sons, Alex Martinez ( Paula) and Armando Martinez (Debra); grandchildren; Sean, Lindsey, Ryan, and Celeste Martinez; cousins, Andrew Cano, Chano Garza. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday April 10, 2013 at Trevino Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart from the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Thursday April 11, 2013 for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Leo the great Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Fernando cemetery No.2.
