Mr. Joseph Chacon, Jr. 79, resident of Helotes, Tx departed this world unexpectedly the morning of September 28th, 2016 peacefully in his home to join his beloved son and daughter Jason and Chrisanne Chacon. Joseph is survived by his son Joseph Chacon III and his wife Lisa of Bandera, Tx, his loving daughter Kerri Jane Bonham and her husband Ronald of New Braunfels, Tx, his beloved five grandchildren, Carah and Taylor Bonham, Samantha and Jessica Chacon and Kimberlee Sharp. Major Joe “Whirlybird” Chacon served his country proudly as a helicopter pilot for the US Army retiring in 1979. He was a leading attorney in San Antonio for 22 years even running for Justice of the Peace in 1974 before suffering a stroke in 1986. Joe was an avid fisherman, hunter, and boxer in the US army but he was most proud of his achievements in senior weightlifting placing multiples times after the age of 65.
