Jose Angel Ponce, Jr., 76 years old of San Antonio, Texas, passed away July 23rd, 2022. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 19th, 1946 to Jose Ponce, Sr. and Trinidad Ponce. He was married to Virginia Valdez Ponce for 43 years.
He is preceded in death by his spouse, Virginia Valdez Ponce; and parents, Jose and Trinidad Ponce Sr.
He is survived by his son, Joseph Anthony Ponce (Jennifer Ponce); grandson, Anthony Morin; and granddaughters, Zoie Morin, Anyssa Ponce, and Madelyn Ponce. Sisters, Guadalupe Sanchez and Angela Rivas; brother, Francisco Ponce; brothers in law; sisters in law; and numerous nephews and nieces.
A visitation for Jose will be held Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. A rosary service will occur Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. A graveside service will occur Friday, August 5, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at San Fernando #3 Cemetery, 1735 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78226. A funeral mass will occur Friday, August 5, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St John Berchmans Catholic Church, 1147 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78226.
