José M. Arredondo, age 71, passed away March 16, 2012. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on June 10, 1940 to José and Margarita Arredondo. José was a retired Firefighter of 20 years with the city of San Antonio, Fire Station # 10, and also both a Marine and Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Olivia Forey. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rita G. Arredondo; sons, José Antonio Arredondo and Carlos Miguel Arredondo; daughter, Rita Sue Arredondo; grandchildren, Victoria Ann, Carlos Andres and Jessica Ann Arredondo: sisters, Ernestina Hernandez, Evangelina Hernandez and Estela Arredondo; brother, Benito Arredondo; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road from 5:00 P.M to 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 26, 2012 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5919 Ingram Road with Rev. Eric Ritter officiating. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery #2 with Firefighter Honors.
