Col. John (Jack) D. Herbert, USAF retired, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away April 18, 2011 at the age 79. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, a daughter, two sons, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, five grandchildren and many friends. Services with full military honors will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 10:45 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack’s memory to the Fisher House Foundation or the charity of your choice.
