Joe C. Lozano, 84 years of age, with great tranquility and dignity passed on to heaven’s rewards, on January 6th, 2018, in San Antonio. Joe is survived by his daughters, Virginia (Michael) Estrada and their children, Stephen and Nathan Estrada and daughter, Nancy (Thomas) Aleman and their children, Emilie and Mariah (Kyle) Aleman and his great grandchildren, Matthew and Everett Martin. He is precedent in Heaven’s reward by his wife Margaret and his parents Crecencio and Luisa Lozano. He is also survived by his brothers Jesse and Frank and sisters, Frances and Mary.
Joe was born on May 4th, 1933 in San Antonio, TX to his parents, Crecencio and Luisa Cardenas Lozano. He attended and completed his education at Fox Tech High School and immediately after, joined the U.S. Army. After his military service he went to work civil service at Kelly Air Force Base and retired after 36 years of service. He married Margaret Vargas on August 23, 1959 in San Antonio, TX and the couple were married for more than 57 years and they gave birth to two daughters. Joe loved to travel especially to Las Vegas and they went to Hawaii also. He enjoyed playing golf, dancing and playing cards with his friends. He was a devoted and loving father and was very proud of this daughters and their families. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his love for his family.
Everyone in the family expresses a special thanks to all the staff at Complete Care Hospice, for all the care he received with his home care services these last few years.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, January 11th at 6 p.m., with a 7p.m. rosary at Sunset Funeral Home, on Bandera Rd. The celebration of life Mass will be at St. Brigids Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 12th and followed by the service at San Fernando Cemetary #2 on Castroville Rd. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Joe’s life. He is already deeply missed by all and will always be in our hearts and minds forever.
