Janet Cole Sharp

Janet C. Sharp died on March 6, 2017 at the age of 73. She was born on July 7, 1943 in Saginaw, Michigan and grew up in Midland, Michigan. After high school graduation she attended Central Michigan University graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education in 1965. After one year of teaching, she joined the US Army as a member of the Women’s Corps. She married John E. B. Sharp, Sr. in 1972 and resigned from the Army in 1973. She was preceded in death by her parents, aunt and uncle and husband. She is survived by her son, John Sharp, Jr. and sister, Lois Tucker.

In 1983, she received her Associates degree in Applied Science with a major in accounting technology from St. Philips College. She worked for Sears until 1992 followed by employment at Chase Bank until 2001. She enjoyed watching tennis, football, and basketball. Thanks go to Mary Wright, Maureen “Mo” Shipp, Mike and Toni Collins, Steve and Sandy Gass and Pat Pascal, John and Dorothy Moy, Herb and Teri Snowden, Joan Forrest, and Morgia Lepiclk for their friendship and support. Following the cremation there will be a 1:30 p.m. graveside service at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.
