Harold A. Fontes, age 91, passed away January 9, 2017 in San Antonio, TX. He was born on June 15, 1925 to Joseph & Margaret Fontes in Cambridge, MA. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed. Mr. Fontes retired after 22 years of service from the U.S. Air Force. He later worked 10 years for Lockheed Martin Aircraft.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Lou Fontes and his parents.
Mr. Fontes is survived by his son, Joe Rea Fontes; grandson, Joe Rea Fontes, Jr; and several other family members and friends.
Visitation will be 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with the Funeral Service to be at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with Full Air Force Honors. Condolences may be offered at www.sunsetfuneralhomesa.com.
