Guadalupe Hernandez

Guadalupe graduated from Edgewood High School in 1957 and married in 1961. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Guadalupe was also involved in many church activities. She was involved in all church festivals, served in the church English choir for 34years, a CCD teacher for 35 years, and a member of the catechumenal for 32 years where she was able to travel to Europe and fulfill her dream of being baptized in the Jordan river.

Guadalupe was predeceased by her mother Ignacia Gomez, father Rudolpho Hernandez, brothers Arturo Hernandez, Rudolfo Hernandez Jr, sister Alicia DeHoyos and her daughter Norma Madrigal.

She is survived by her Husband, Theodoro Hernandez: her son Ceasar Hernandez; her daughters Leticia Rutten, Diana Hernandez; 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

The Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd. followed by a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Procession will depart from the funeral home chapel on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Communion Service at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 747 S.W. 39th St., San Antonio, TX 78237. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery III.
