Gregorio Rodriguez entered into the loving arms of our Lord on April 17, 2023 at the age of 94. He was born on September 30, 1928 to Beatrice and Delfino Rodriguez in San Antonio, Texas. He was the 2nd of four children.
Gregorio was a very loving and caring person. He was very devoted in this faith as a Catholic. He attended church and followed the teachings of Our Lord. He was a simple man that enjoyed crossword puzzles. He had a green thumb to grow trees, grass and his beloved rose bushes. He took pride in his yard, and made sure to keep it in proper order. He loved to be outdoors, enjoying nature. He met Rosa De La Paz while at a dance. They both knew of each other from his sister, Frances. Rosa was a school friend of hers but their paths didn’t cross until that dance. A relationship started between them and they got married on October 13, 1951. Together they raised two children, Gregorio and Esther.
Gregorio entered the United States Army at the age of 22. He services for two years, where he was decorated with a Korean Service Medal, a Bronze Star Medal and the United Nations Medal for his humanitarian service during his months in Foreign Service. He was honorably honorably discharged in October 1952, and was able to return to be close to his family.
Gregorio will be reunited in heaven with his parents, Beatrice and Delfino; son, Gregorio Paz Rodriguez; sister, Frances; and brother, Loreto.
His memory will forever live in his loving wife, Rosa; daughter, Esther and husband Drew; daughter-in-law, Rosa; and brother, Pedro. Also, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews, and extended family.
