Gloria Paniagua Mata

Gloria P. Mata, 81, passed away August 9, 2021. Preceded in death by granddaughter Sylvia A. Ovalle and grandson Isidro Mata Jr. She is survived by her two sons Gonzalo Marin Jr. and Isidro P. Mata Sr. Grandchildren Priscilla A. Marin-Rodriguez, Melinda Marin-Campos, Jamie Lee Stevenson, Valerie Contreras, Mark Mata and 11 great grandchildren. Gloria enjoyed bar-b-que’s with her family and extended family. She loved telling stories of when she was younger to her grandchildren, she was also known for giving everyone nick names (Bee, Chilo, Chorre, Vale, Mokie, Chongitos). Even though she didn’t have much she would always give you a little something on your birthday. Gloria loved telling jokes and making everyone laugh, she always had a beautiful smile. She will be missed dearly by everyone she knew. We pray that the Saints and Angels of God, come to meet her. May her soul be in peace and she enjoy the light of Christ’s face. Visitation 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2021 Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd., Rosary 7:00 p.m. Family has asked for everyone to wear face coverings at all times. Procession will depart Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. for 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. John Benchmans’ Catholic Church (Church is requiring face coverings and temperature checks before entrance). Interment San Fernando Cemetery III.
