Gloria Alvarez Baker

She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Diana; and her granddaughter, Priscilla.

Gloria leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, Carlos L. Baker; her daughter, Sylvia Rodriguez (Mario); her daughter, Norma Rodriguez (Tony); her son, Ricardo “Rick” Baker (Susanne); her son, Carlos Baker; her daughter, Cynthia Lara; her son, Paul Baker (Michelle); and her son, David Baker (Lauren); her 16 grandchildren; her 8 great-grandchildren; her sister, Louisa Sanchez; her brother, Arturo Rios; and her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who all adored her.

The family will be receiving friends for a Visitation on Monday, August 26th from 5 PM to 9 PM at Roy Akers Funeral Home – 515 N. Main Ave. 78205 – with a Rosary Service to be recited at 7 PM. A Procession will depart at 9:30 AM and arrive at St. Thomas More Catholic Church – 4411 Moana Dr. 78218 – on Tuesday, August 27th for a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial at San Fernando Cemetery II – 746 Castroville Rd. 78237 – will follow at the conclusion of the funeral service.
