Francisco is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Antonieta Rivera.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Maria Chapa, children, Imelda Chapa (Jose), Ileana Celestino (Edgar), Francisco Javier Chapa Jr., grandchildren, Samantha and Ashlee Celestino, Miguel and Alejandro Sarmiento, siblings, twin sister Carmen Chapa Rodriguez, Norma Lira, Yolanda Galvan, Diana Hernandez and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Francisco will be held Sunday, December 10, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211 with a Rosary at 7:30 PM. A mass will occur Monday, December 11, 2023 at 11:30 AM at St Lawrence Catholic Church, 236 E Petaluma Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78221with interment to follow at San Jose Burial Park, 8235 Mission Rd, San Antonio, TX 78214.
