Evelyn Juanita Kelly

Evelyn Juanita "Nita" Kelly, 82, of San Antonio, Texas passed away peacefully on Monday, November 13, 2017. Nita was born to the late J.D. Dye and Lela Evelyn Testerman on September 3, 1936 in Oklahoma. Nita, a servant of our Lord Jesus Christ, was preceded in death by James Victor Kelly, her loving husband of 57 years. Nita has spent her life serving the Lord through volunteerism in her community and professionally in education. Nita never met a stranger and her warm and genuine demeanor was appreciated by all. She spent her days encouraging her friends, loving her family and building up those in her life. Nita was the mother to five children. James Victor Jr. (deceased) and Jenalee Kelly of Midland, Texas; Keri Kelly of Austin, Texas; Kirk and Andrea Kelly of McQueeney, Texas; Amy and Ronny Bigham of Hughesville, Maryland; and Jason J. and Jennifer Kelly of Helotes, Texas. Nita is survived by fourteen grandchildren Khris and Stephanie Kelly, Kaci Kelly, Tima and Ryan Brown, Kheira and Evan Westphal, Samantha Bigham, Nathan Kelly, Kenny and Ashlynn Bigham, Gwendolyn and Taylor Sanchez, Madeleine Kelly, Julianna Bigham, Gavin Kelly, Max Bigham, Jackson Bigham and Sawyer Kelly. She also has six great-grandchildren, Madison Kelly, Connor Kelly, Benjamin Brown, William Brown, Wren Westphal and baby Jack Brown. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Monday, December 11, 2017 at Eisenhauer Road Baptist Church, 3950 Eisenhauer Rd. San Antonio, Texas 78218.
