Ernest Hernandez

Ernest Hernandez, our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, entered rest on May 6, 2014 at the age of 94. A native of San Antonio, he was born to Zeferino and Hilaria Hernandez on January 27, 1920. Mr. Hernandez honorably served his country during WWII and received an EAME Campaign Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, and World War II Victory Medal. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lillie; 3 sisters and 6 brothers. He is survived by their children: Adela H. Flores and husband Moses, Ernest Hernandez, Jr. and wife Victoria, Ernestina Salazar and husband Roger, Henrietta Juarez; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; sister, Elida Garza. The family will receive friends at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2014 to celebrate a 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
