Elvira L. Garza, went home to be with the Lord, on December 24, 2012, at the age of 78. She was preceded in death by her mother, Anita H. Avalos, her husband, Martin Garza, and her sister Gloria Ann Lino. She is survived by her sister, Lupe Arcos and husband David; brothers, Toby Avalos and wife Sylvia and Osvaldo “Wally” Avalos; and wife Esther; and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, family and friends. The family will receive friends at Roy Akers Funeral Home, 515 N. Main, on Sunday, December 30, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service to begin at 7:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held the following day, Monday, December 31, 2012, at 12:00 Noon, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach.
