Eddie Ortiz

Eddie was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 12, 1967. He worked as a Maître D for Maggiano’s Little Italy for over 20 years in San Antonio and Houston, Texas. Eddie enjoyed all sporting events. He has attended some of the most memorable events including a Super Bowl in New Orleans, World Series games in Houston, NBA championships in San Antonio, the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta and the 2006 Rose Bowl game (Texas vs. USC).

Eddie, participated in every Fantasy Sports league presented to him. He enjoyed the lottery and Pick 3 was his favorite. He had a love for all animals including his beloved Star at HEB and off course his own fur babies.

Eddie is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal parents Rose Fox and Vincent Ortiz.

Eddie is survived by his partner in crime Martin Salazar, his brother John Ortiz (Carrie Leighty), his stepfather Lauren (Grumpy) Fox his nephews Jacob (Brittney Geary) Ortiz, John Paul Ortiz and numerous family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be his Maggiano’s Family Members.

Visitation will be held for all at Sunset Funeral Home, on November 10, 2024, at 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be at Sunset Funeral Home on November 11, 2024, at 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Committal service to follow afterwards on November 11, 2024, 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
