Don Clayton Reser (b. December 14, 1950 - d. June 16, 2016) was the son of Mary Luella Clayton Reser Hardie and Richard Stair Reser. A native San Antonian, he was the 1969 Alamo Heights High School Student Council President, and received several degrees including a B.A. in economics from Stanford University, an M.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin, and a J.D. from The University of Houston.
Don served as a law clerk for Federal Judge John H. Wood and practiced as an attorney. Additionally, he was an entrepreneur starting businesses in commodities trading, real estate, and commercial transit.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother and his step-father, John Ford Jack Hardie, Jr. He is survived by his wife Marie Kisner, his daughters Rebecca Johanna Reser and Jessica Reser Osborn, Jessica's husband Christopher Joseph Osborn and their daughter Lily Kew Osborn, their mother Rebecca Jo Reser, his sister Winifred Ann Bishop, Winifred’s family, and his step-mother Jere Neelley Reser.
Don loved his family and West Texas heritage greatly. We welcome all of his friends and family to celebrate his life at a Memorial Gathering on Saturday, June 25th at 2 p.m. at 305 Primera Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78212.
