Dominga B. Rivera

Doming B. Rivera, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother; left this world to live in eternal peace with the Lord on November 19, 2015 at the age of 95. A native of San Antonio, TX, she was born to Hermenegildo and Tiburcia (Gonzales) Benavides on August 26, 1920. She now reunites with her parents; husband, Gumecindo Rivera Sr., sons: Jose Rivera, Max Rivera, Gumecindo Rivera; and daughter, Mayte Rivera. She is survived by her children: Maggie Trujillo, Hope Vasquez (Ralph), Susie Coronado (Eddie), Rolando Rivera; daughter-in-law Nelda Rivera; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Dominga was a seamstress and enjoyed dancing and having family gatherings. She was a volunteer for numerous years, including many years of volunteer work at the San Antonio State School. The family will be receiving guests at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart the funeral home on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 9:15 a.m. to celebrate a 10:00 Mass of Resurrection at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, 125 W.
