David Antonio Gomez

David Antonio Gomez, born December 29, 1950 from Marfa, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 6, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mom (Vicenta Ceniceros), dad (Antonio Ruiz Gomez), brother (Lino), and sister (Emelda).

He is survived by his sisters Virginia Reyes and Julie Solis and brother Martin Gomez, his wife Andrea Montez Gomez and her kids Christina Carrillo (husband John E. Garza) and Jacob Carrillo; his first wife and forever friend Gloria Gamboa Cardenas and their three children David A. Gomez (wife Monica Gomez), Christopher “Danny” Gomez (husband Tim Pierdolla), and Dannette Gomez Beane (husband John “J.B.” Beane) and grandchildren David “Aidan” Gomez, Gabriel Andres Gomez, Lillian “Morgan” Beane, Austin “Riley” Beane, and Bowman David Beane. David served his country as an Army Specialist in the U.S. Army 1st Cavalry 11th Armor 4th infantry in the Vietnam War. David retired from Kelly Air Force base as a civil service aircraft blade inspector.

David graduated high school in 1969 from Harlandale High School where he played football and baseball. Most people know David as a carpenter, mechanic, and selfless handyman. He loved being in his backyard working on projects and just being outdoors. His family and friends knew him as loyal, helpful, and with a caring heart.
