Daniel Hernandez passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at the age of 50. Born October 5, 1971, in Laredo, Texas; He is survived by his parents, San Juanita and Adolfo Hernandez Sr.; beloved wife of 23 years, Sandra Hernandez; children, Ashley Ramos (Filo), Andy Ybarra (Gabby) and Anthony Ybarra (Jovi); grandchildren, Zayden, Keenan, Cameron and Tyler; siblings, Adolfo Hernandez Jr. (Joanna), Gracie Cardenas (Humberto), and Irene Hernandez; many nephews and nieces; extended family and friends.
Daniel was a loving husband, father, son, brother, nephew, uncle, and cousin who went above and beyond to support his family's needs, wants, and cares. Daniel was a kind, friendly, loving, silly yet loyal person who cared deeply about those around him. Whether it was a neighborhood friend, coworker, or family member, Daniel made sure to be there when you needed him. Daniel had so many close friends who he treated as family.
Those who knew Daniel, knew that he had a big heart and loved his wife, children, and grandchildren dearly. He had a passion for his work in construction and the Du-Mor company he worked for. He always kept in touch with and had a special place in his heart for all of his friends from New Jersey. He loved spending time with his grandchildren working alongside him on projects whether it was welding parts together, fixing cars, or chopping wood in his workshop. Daniel especially loved his family nights that consisted of dinner and a movie. He loved to barbecue and watch the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed “patrolling” the neighborhood he lived in to visit with family and friends. Daniel dedicated his life to the Lord recently and loved the church he and his wife were attending.
Daniel was recently diagnosed with liver cancer and battled it the best he could. Although, he endured a lot of pain in this season of his life, Daniel fought all the way till the end. He was brave, tough, and did his best to make sure that no one knew what he was really going through.
Daniel was a wonderful person who brought joy to those around him with his jokes, silliness, love, and care. Words could never measure up to the type of person Daniel was nor the amount of love he gave. He will always be loved and forever missed.
