Corrine Whaley

Visitation will be held at 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. 2 February 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. 3 February 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home located at 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. Burial will follow the funeral at Fort Sam Houston, TX cemetery at 11:15 a.m. Pastor Joe DeJesa and Pastor John Jones of Lord of the Harvest Church will be officiating.

Corrine was born in Los Angeles, CA on 4 November 1951. She graduated from El Rancho High School, completed college at Rio Hondo College, and served our country for 7 years in the United States Air force prior to her last job for the Department of Defense Army.

Corrine was married to Paul Whaley on 21 September 2002; they were married 13 years.

Corrine worked as a Human Resources Assistant for the Department of Defense Army for 30 years and retired in April 2009. She enjoyed family, singing, arts and crafts, and traveling around the world. She was also actively involved in Lord of the Harvest Church.

Corrine and her son Diamond were very close and her grandson Ryan was the joy of her life and always made her smile.

Corrine is survived by her spouse Paul Whaley, son Diamond, grandson Ryan, her brothers Marty, Tino, Richard, and sister Adele and other family and friends.

Corrine is preceded in death by her parents Aurora and Justino Hinojos, and her brother Michael.
