Born in Williamson, West Virginia on April 9, 1926, he lived 90 years, the last 12 battling Alzheimer’s like the professional soldier and warrior he was. Family man, U.S. Army Medical Service Corps officer, founder with wife Lois, in 1971, of Antiquarian Book Mart on Broadway near Brackenridge Park, he lived a happy life and was a self-satisfied, reasonable, loving individual until the end. “Good Night Sweet Prince!”
The Graveside Service will be 9:30 a.m., Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
Many thanks to the dedicated staff at Homewood Residence in Castle Hills where he lived for 10 years and to the good people at San Pedro Manor who cared for him his last few days. Also, thanks to Sister Bernadette of Our Lady of the Lake who comforts the bereaved at Metropolitan Methodist Hospital.
