Christine Elizabeth Cordell

Christine is survived by her parents, Ken and Mary Ann Gay; Husband, Michael Cordell; Children, Kira Ann Cordell (15) and Belinda Zuniga (22), Son-In-Law, Alejandro Zuniga; Grandmother, Teresa Donithan (96) of Havaco, West Virginia; and Grandchild, Michael Alexander Zuniga. Preceded in death by her daughter, Alicia Danielle and Mother-in-law, Mary Cordell.

Christine Cordell was born on May 7, 1972 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Ken and Mary Gay. She graduated from Judson High School in 1989. She married Michael Cordell, her soulmate in 2003. Over 7 years, the couple welcomed 2 beautiful daughters into their life.

Her children remember her as a selfless, loving, nurturing, and fun mother who encouraged them to be successful and live their lives to the fullest.

Christine was passionate about animals and often indulged in adopting cats and dogs who needed love, as well as rescuing animals to take to the no kill shelters. She was a generous woman who loved her family and dedicated her life to caring for them.

The family will be receiving guests on July 12, 2023 at 9:00am at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas. The Celebration of Life is scheduled for 10:00am on July 12, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home, Inurnment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. A reception will be be held immediately following the service at Sunset's Lonestar Hall. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Christine’s life.
