Chester H. "Pete" Hines

Chester H. Hines, 92, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2013. He was a dedicated and loving husband and father. An excellent provider, ensuring all of our needs were met. He read his Bible daily and loved the Lord with all of his heart, soul and mind and strength. He definitely loved his neighbor as himself. His generosity was amazing, never expecting anything in return. He will be missed. He served in the US Army for 10 years, US Air Force for 10 years and Civil Servant for 30 years. He served in WW II, Korean War and BAY of Pigs. He was preceded in death by his wife Sally Fontaine Hines; brothers, Robert Curtis Hines, Durwood Hines, Paul Hines; sisters, Jewel Finnegan and Ida Hall. He is survived by his children, Deborah Hines, Judy Hines, Rex Hines and Brenda Hines; brothers, Walter Hines, Roger Hines, Carlton Hines; sisters, Authula Crout, Minnie Pridgen, Ruby Joyce Hemple, Tressie Johnson, Janelle Brown, Margurette Chambers, Almedia Beard and Carolyn Greear. The visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd. The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
