Major (RET) Charles Joseph Hart, USA, beloved father and grandfather, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 13, 2013, at the age of 93 years 10 months. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to parents Michael Joseph Hart and Mary McLaughlin Hart on July 26, 1919. Charles proudly retired from the U.S. Army after 32 years of service which included WWII, the Korean War and Viet Nam. His last assignment was Inspector General U.S. 5th Army, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He will always be remembered and deeply missed for the love and dedication he had for his family and country. Charles was preceded in death by: his parents; loving wife, Augusta M. Hart; and sisters, Ann Hart D’Ambro and Nancy Hart Liming. He is survived by: his son, Col (RET) Michael C. Hart, USAF, and his wife Sandra who is posted to the American Embassy, London, England; granddaughter, Sabra R. Hart; grandsons, James E. Bojtos and Michael D. Bojtos; and nephew, Joseph D’Ambro. Charles has one great-grand daughter, Taylor E. Bojtos. A rosary for Charles (Chuck) will be held at the Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, on Sunday, 19 May, 2013 at 7:00 PM. A Committal Service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 10:45 AM with full military honors.
