Celia R. Ramos

Celia R. Ramos, born on June 12, 1947, in Rio Hondo, Texas, to Jose Ines Ramirez and Celia Garcia, passed away on March 23, 2025, at the age of 77. She was preceded in death by her parents and is now at peace in the loving arms of our Lord.

Celia was a loving and devoted mother to Janie Ramos, Genaro Ramos Jr., and Elizabeth Garcia, and a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was the center of her world, and she took great joy in spending time with her loved ones. She was also blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness and pride.

Known for her joyful spirit, Celia loved playing bingo and visiting the casino, where she enjoyed the excitement and camaraderie of her favorite pastimes. Despite her love for fun, it was her deep care for others and her unwavering love for her family that defined her life.

Celia is survived by her children, her brothers Juan Ramirez, Guillermo Ramirez, Alfredo Ramirez, and her sister Lydia Casarez. Her family and all who knew her will carry her memory in their hearts, finding comfort in knowing that she is now at peace with the Lord.

A Visitation for Celia will be held Monday, March 31, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237 with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. A Processional will depart from the funeral home at 9:30 AM for a Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, W Houston St & Trinity, San Antonio, TX 78207 with Burial to follow at San Fernando Cemetery III, 1735 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78226.

Celia R. Ramos, nacida el 12 de junio de 1947 en Río Hondo, Texas, hija de José Inés Ramírez y Celia García, falleció el 23 de marzo de 2025 a la edad de 77 años. Sus padres la precedieron en la muerte y ahora descansa en paz en los brazos amorosos de nuestro Señor.

Celia fue una madre amorosa y devota de Janie Ramos, Genaro Ramos Jr. y Elizabeth García, y una querida abuela y bisabuela. Su familia era el centro de su vida y disfrutaba enormemente pasando tiempo con sus seres queridos. También tuvo la suerte de tener numerosos nietos y bisnietos, quienes le brindaron una inmensa felicidad y orgullo.

Conocida por su espíritu alegre, a Celia le encantaba jugar al bingo e ir al casino, donde disfrutaba de la emoción y la camaradería de sus pasatiempos favoritos. A pesar de su amor por la diversión, fue su profundo cariño por los demás y su inquebrantable amor por su familia lo que definió su vida.

A Celia le sobreviven sus hijos: sus hermanos Juan Ramírez, Guillermo Ramírez, Alfredo Ramírez y su hermana Lydia Casarez. Su familia y todos los que la conocieron llevarán su recuerdo en el corazón, encontrando consuelo al saber que ahora está en paz con el Señor.

El velatorio de Celia se llevará a cabo el lunes 31 de marzo de 2025, de 17:00 a 23:00, en la Funeraria Del Ángel Treviño, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237, con el rosario a las 19:00. Una procesión partirá de la funeraria a las 9:30 a. m. para la Misa de Resurrección a las 10:00 a. m. en la Iglesia Católica del Sagrado Corazón, ubicada en W Houston St. y Trinity, San Antonio, TX 78207. Posteriormente, el entierro se realizará en el Cementerio San Fernando III, ubicado en 1735 Cupples Rd., San Antonio, TX 78226.
